The superior man, when resting in safety, does not forget that danger may come. When in a state of security he does not forget the possibility of ruin. When all is orderly, he does not forget that disorder may come. Thus his person is not endangered, and his States and all their clans are preserved.

Rugby is a team sport and team members look after each other. The strength of the team is only strong if the individuals stand together as a whole. They also take responsibility for their actions, and their team mates’ actions. Please enjoy the holidays but remember to look after your friends, and to be responsible, don’t drink and drive.

I love all my listeners. They give me great ratings. Great ratings make me happy. If one of my listeners drinks, drives and kills themselves; my ratings go down. I would hate that to happen. Seriously though, please stay alive, don't drink and drive, especially on Phuza Thursday and especially over the festive season.

Your life is ahead of you – don’t be a loser! It’s cool to have fun...but it’s not cool to ruin your life or someone else’s by being irresponsible.

Having lived abroad for the last 9 years, we've realised that you simply CANNOT drink and drive because the penalties are truly severe and most importantly, there can be horrific repercussions if you're unlucky enough to be involved in an accident.

No matter who is in the wrong, if you have alcohol in your system, your rights disappear.

Now that we're back in SA, we see that there are options here that never used to exist a few years back (secure taxis, designated driver organisations, etc) and we're very excited about it.
We're continuously in social settings, wether at a show or at an event and even though we like to party and have a good time, we make sure that we stick to whatever travel arrangements we made before hand so that we all Arrive Alive!

To quote a Just Jinjer song, "Now is the time of your life!" - so have fun but be smart!

Hello to you, all you amazing, friendly, colourful people of South Africa…and politicians. I’m Bevan Cullinan, stand-up comedian, TV Commercial Director and more recently, MNET’s ‘Gary. The Tooth Fairy’. I’ve made my living over the last 14 years through comedy. I love my job and I love making people laugh. We need to laugh, at ourselves and our ridiculously funny existence amongst all the technology and machines that we have created to make our lives easier.

One thing we can’t laugh at is drunk driving. Because it’s not funny (unless you are a judge). We are bombarded with advertisements every day about the dangers of drinking and driving, but as the world turns, very few of these messages are able to register with us when we’ve had a few. Mainly because of an annoying override switch that alcohol introduces as part of normal rational thought. Life is a very tenuous thing and can end in a flash.

If you drink and drive regularly, you will die. It’s a fact. It doesn’t take a genius to realise that eventually your time will come. It’s a numbers game! And it won’t be a spectacular moment with special effects and a sound track to match like in the movies. It will be the exact opposite, it will be unimpressive, with no sound track and there will be no director and stunt co-ordinator shouting ‘cut, lets reload for another one’. There won’t be another one. That will be it. You will end up as a wet spot that some poor guy has to clean up!

Don’t be regressive, keep yourself alive by opting for the seemingly inconvenient option of a cab! It may be inconvenient and an anti-climax to your evening, but at least it will allow you to be able to give another evening a go!

Don’t let this be another random post on a website from a clown. Change your vibe now! Be Cool.

Bevan.

We all enjoy having fun, especially during the festive season -- but it's really important to party responsibly -- and it can mean the difference between life and death.

Try to plan out a designated driver or cab service in advance -- and always make sure you've got a friend who's always there to look after you

Winning a gold medal in a team sport means you need to look after each other, and be aware of each other's strenghts and shortcomings. I know my relay friends, and trust them to look after me when I am in trouble, and they know and expect the same of me. Enjoy this wonderful time but be aware on the roads, and look each other - be responsible, don't drink and drive!!

I spend most of my day in a high performance race car, but on the highways I stick to the rules of the road - and I drive responsibly as you can never predict when something will go wrong! Safe driving is as much about attitude as being aware and being responsible!

Don’t drink and drive and Arrive Alive!!
