Suspect arrested for the possession of a stolen vehicle

TMPD Tactical Unit members arrested one suspect for possession of stolen vehicle on Tuesday 8 April 2025.
The members responded to information received regarding a Toyota Hilux double cab bakkie that was stolen at a shopping center in Pretoria Gardens. Members followed up and managed to trace the vehicle in Garankuwa.
After patrolling the area the vehicle was spotted with one suspect, a chase ensued and the suspect was apprehended. The bakkie was badly stripped on the interior.
Separate to this success, the same members recovered a hijacked truck in Mamelodi East, it was found abondoned with no suspects.
In Pretoria west, one person was arrested after he was found spinning a vehicle, he tried to drive off in high speed but was quickly apprehended after hitting a pavement.
