Motorists are advised to take alternative routes to avoid the affected area. Recommended detours include:
• If going past Kroonstad take the R30 detour after Bloemfontein to Brandfort, Virginia, Welkom to Kroonstad
• ?From Kroonstad , take the R34 to Welkom, Virginia, Theunissen, Brandfort then Bloemfontein
- From Ventersburg , take R70 to Henneman , Welkom.
