Faulty Differential Lock Blamed For Collision: R102 Verulam - KZN

Moderate injuries were reported after a bakkie collided into a light motor vehicle on the R102 in Verulam - KZN a short while ago (Tuesday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on scene at approximately 12:18 and discovered that a white Isuzu bakkie & a silver Ford Fiesta were involved in the collision. The driver of the bakkie informed Reaction Officers that he was travelling south towards Ottawa - KZN when the differential lock on his vehicle suddenly activated.
His bakkie violently veered into the next lane and collided into the Ford Fiesta. Both vehicles left the road and came to a stop in the centre median.
The driver and his passenger from the Isuzu bakkie sustained injuries and were transported to hospital by ambulance.
