N12 road at the Lofdal entrance in Stilfontein is temporarily closed due to severe flooding caused by recent heavy rainfall.

The City of Matlosana would like to inform all motorists and residents that the N12 road is temporarily closed due to severe flooding caused by recent heavy rainfall.

The affected area of the N12 is at the Lofdal entrance in Stilfontein.

Motorists are advised to use the following alternative routes: 

Winnie Mandela Street if driving towards Potchefstroom and Kowie Street if driving towards Klerksdorp. 

The municipality is working closely with relevant authorities to monitor the situation and ensure the safety of all road users. Updates will be provided as the situation develops.
