Inkosi Mhlabunzima Maphumulo House: On the 15th October 2024, we announced our nation-building project, focusing on the recruitment of community development activists across all corners of the province to serve in the KZN Transport Forums.
We stated that this nation-building project arose from our deep conviction that our road safety campaigns and efforts aimed at speeding up the construction of road networks would not succeed without the participation of communities.
By and large, the forums will strengthen participatory democracy and ensure the decentralization of the decision-making process on transport-related matters to each ward.
We are inviting members of the media to be part of the launch. The event is scheduled as follows:
Date: 28 March 2025
Time: 10h00
Venue: Olympia Hall, UMgungundlovu District Municipality
The recruitment process involved the nomination of community development activists, residing in their wards, to represent them in the forum.
The successful members of the forum are South African citizens who have completed Grade 12 and are not in any full-time employment.
