A Toyota Hilux bakkie worth more than a quarter of a million Rand, which was stolen from a member of the community of Madimbo Village.
10 Anti-Aircraft Regiment members deployed in Madimbo Operational Base under the command of Joint Tactical Headquarters Limpopo were busy with foot patrol along the Limpopo River when they discovered the abandoned vehicle inside thick bushes. Our military police members were summoned to the scene, and they, in turn, called in their counterparts from the South African Police Service. After the SA Police Service Local Criminal Record Centre did what was required of them, the vehicle was then towed away for further processing by the SA Police Service.
The value of the vehicle is R 370 000,00, according to the SA Police Service.
At Support Base on the West of Beitbridge Point of Entry, their counterparts confiscated undeclared liquor to the amount of R 12 123,00, which was en-route to Zimbabwe through the illegal border crossing and also arrested three undocumented persons.
The Officer Commanding Joint Tactical Headquarters Limpopo, Colonel Dikgabane Herold Tladi, commended the members for the job well done.
