10 Vehicles gutted on Gopalall Hurbans Road in Tongaat

Ten (10) vehicles were gutted after a bush fire spread rapidly due to heavy winds on Gopalall Hurbans Road in Tongaat - KZN this afternoon (Saturday).
The Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Tongaat Operations Centre received multiple calls from the public reporting the incident. Reaction Officers were immediately dispatched and arrived on scene at approximately 14:36. Ten (10) vehicles parked on the side of the road were engulfed in flames. The vehicles belonged to customers of a Park and Fly business. Three (3) other cars were damaged from the heat.
The road was closed to motorists due to poor visibility.
