Tshwane Metro Police Department condemns circulation of false advertising for Metro Police Trainee posts

The Tshwane Metro Police Department (TMPD) has noticed that there is a Facebook page for “Tshwane Metro Police Trainee Posts”. This page advertises TMPD trainee posts, and a link to apply is also provided.

The TMPD would like to emphasise that this Facebook page for trainees is fake. The TMPD did not advertise any trainee posts, therefore the link to the application forms with

TMPD pictures that is circulating on social media are fake and must be ignored.

When TMPD trainee posts are available, they will be advertised by means of proper channels, such as in newspapers, on the City of Tshwane website and at all TMPD regional offices.

Members of the public are advised not to fall for these fake accounts and advertisements. 

Please refrain from responding to these applications, no matter how convincing they may appear.

The TMPD will never ask applicants to pay any money when they apply for posts.

Members of the public are urged to report any criminal activity to the TMPD at 012 358 7095/6.
