Suspects arrested in killing of TMPD Constable Mtsweni

The Tshwane Metro Police officers together with other law enforcement officers which includes Hawks and SAPS conducted an operation on Friday 14 October 2022.
The operation was conducted in relation to the murder of the late TMPD Constable Mtsweni who was hijacked and killed in the early hours of Sunday 2 October. 2022.
The Tshwane Metro Police information gathering unit played a big role in identifying two suspects who were involved in the case.
During the operation, the two suspects were spotted in Olievenhoutbosh inside a vehicle. The officers reacted swiftly and arrested the suspects.
The two male suspects were found with a firearm and ammunition suspected to have been the one which was taken from the deceased officer.
Well done to all law enforcement teams who worked very hard to ensure that the suspects are apprehended, a week after the late Constable was laid to rest.
The suspects were detained and will appear in court soon.
