The Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC) has commenced with the selection process to choose individuals who will undergo traffic officer training at its academy in 2023.
A total of approximately 167 000 applications were received for the posts advertised in April this year.
The RTMC is currently shortlisting, and all successful candidates can expect to be contacted by mid-October this year. Those who will not be contacted by 31 October 2022, should consider their application unsuccessful.
Shortlisted applicants will be required to undergo physical assessment before the end of the year. Formal communiqué will be issued advising applicants about the date and venue where they should present themselves for assessments.
Assessments will be conducted on different days in different provinces and stringent measures will be put in place to ensure that applicants with genuine invitations are allowed into the assessment centres. Uninvited applicants will be barred from accessing the centres.
Those who pass physical assessment are subjected to an interview process. Background checks will be conducted and applicants with criminal records will not be accepted.
The Corporation cautions all applicants to be aware of possible imposters who will contact them posing as employees of the RTMC. Applicants are also to note the following:
• No money should be paid to any company or individual as part of the recruitment process, the RTMC will not ask applicants to pay any fees
• Information regarding recruitment will be posted only on RTMC official platforms and these platforms are the only platforms that applicants should go to for any information and updates regarding the recruitment process.
