Hotspot prayer for safer roads in Mandeni

The Road Traffic Infringement Agency (RTIA) in partnership with the Mandeni Local Municipality and the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Transport will conclude a four-day campaign on AARTO Education with the Hotspot Prayer for safer roads.
In attendance will be the Mandeni Local Municipality Mayor, Cllr Thabani Mdlalose, Deputy Mayor Cllr P.M Sishi, and the Speaker B.L Magwaza together with the local law enforcement leadership.
The Road Traffic Infringement Agency’s (RTIA) objectives include positively changing the behavior of road users so that they are all safe on the road. This contributes toward the realisation of one of the intentions of the National Development Plan to ensure that all South Africans are safe and secure.
Members of the Media are invited to be part of the Hotspot Prayer that will be conducted in the following identified accident hotspot on the provincial route;

On Friday, 28 March 2025, TMPD Region 7 members in Bronkhorstspruit acted on a tip-off and arrested two African males in connection with a cell phone shop robbery in Benoni.
The suspects were driving a white VW Polo, which was intercepted by police in a strategic operation.
