Five Children Run Over: Waterloo - KZN

The driver of a mini bus taxi abandoned his vehicle and fled on foot after he ran over five (5) children between Isihlangu and Pricklepear Road in Waterloo, KZN this afternoon (Tuesday).

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on scene at approximately 17:57. It was established that the white Toyota Siyaya ran over five (5) minors who were playing on the road before it collided into a wire fence. The driver abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot. The injured children were rushed privately to a medical facility. 

According to a resident, one of the minors was seriously injured however this could not be immediately confirmed.
