Netcare 911 responded to a collision involving 2 cars shortly after 4pm this afternoon Sunday, 04 February 2018 on the R59 between Vaalpark and Vereeniging, Free State.
It is alleged that one car aquaplaned and spun into oncoming traffic, colliding with another. On arrival Netcare 911 and other services attended to six patients. Of the six, two occupants travelling together were declared dead on scene and the other four sustained mild to moderate injuries and were in a stable condition before being transported to the nearest hospital for treatment.
Local authorities were on scene investigating the accident.
