Crash R102 Compensation leaves 5 injured

At 20h59 on Friday night Netcare 911 paramedics responded to a collision on the R102 in the Compensation area outside Ballito. Reports from the scene indicate that a car and a taxi collided leaving five people injured. Exact detail to the cause of the crash and preceding events is still speculative and will form part of the police investigation.
Paramedics arrived at the scene and found that the taxi had veered off the roadway, its twisted frame coming to rest on the grass . After the injured were examined it was found that one person sustained serious injuries while four others escaped with minor injuries.
Medics treated the injured at the scene before they transported them to various hospitals in the area for the care that they required.
