Krugersdorp crash leaves seven injured

Netcare 911 paramedics were called to an accident scene at the intersection of Ontdekkers and De Fries Roads in Krugersdorp this afternoon. Reports from the scene indicate that a taxi and a bakkie collided head on. Exact detail to the cause of the crash however will remain a subject for police investigation.

Netcare 911 paramedics the Krugersdorp Fire services and several services arrived at the scene and found the roadway to be littered with accident debris and the twisted frames of the vehicles. After triaging the injured, it was found that the two occupants from the bakkie had sustained critical injuries while five others from the taxi escaped with injuries ranging from serious to minor.

Firemen and medics worked tirelessly to stabilise the injured at the scene, one of the critically wounded was airlifted with the Netcare medical Helicopter while all the others were transported to various hospitals by ambulance for the care that they required.
