Twelve people were injured, four seriously, when two fully laden minibus taxis collided on South Coast Road in the vicinity of the Grimsby Road junction, Mobeni, late last night.
What caused the collision is unknown but it is alleged that one driver lost control of his vehicle which veered into the other. One of the taxis overturned and came to rest on it’s side.
The injured occupants were found waiting at the roadside after having climbed out of the wrecked vehicles. They were treated and stabilised at the scene by Netcare911 Paramedics before they were transported by ambulance to the Prince M’Shiyeni Memorial Hospital for the care that they required.
